Network links families with uninsured children to health
care. This program assists families with applications
for Nevada Check Up and Medicaid and will refer families
to low cost and no cost health care providers throughout

The Nevada Institute for Children's
Research and Policy (NICRP) is a not-for-profit,
non-partisan research center within the School of
Community Health Sciences at UNLV that is dedicated to
improving the lives of children through research,
advocacy and other specialized services. NICRP's mission
is to conduct academic and community-based research that
will guide the development of policies, programs and
services which will enhance the health and well-being of
Nevada's children.

Nevada Health Centers
(NVHC)
NVHC
is a Federally Qualified Community Health Centers that
provides primary care and dental services throughout
Nevada. Nevada Health Centers is a private non-profit
community health center. In 2007, NVHC served 50,958
patients who accounted for 127,881 patient visits. NVHC
accepts most insurance, Medicaid and Medicare, Women's
Health Connection, Nevada Check Up and offers a sliding fee
scale for the uninsured.

Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada
The Progressive Leadership Alliance of
Nevada, founded in 1994, is a statewide coalition of groups
working for economic, social and environmental justice. PLAN
is working in collaboration with local, state and federal
allies to provide health care for all. Our member groups
include anti-poverty activists, people of color, children’s
advocates, disabled persons, environmentalists, lesbians and
gay men, and labor unions. PLAN works with diverse
constituencies—many of whom do not traditionally work
together—and builds bridges so that collectively we can
build the power to impact policy decisions on a wide range
of issues.
